Earth Element and Spleen Health

In terms of Chinese Medicine, we are currently in the season of the Earth element. It is that time of the year when the hot expansive summer (Yang) is starting to wane, the days are getting shorter, and we start moving toward a cool internal-focused winter (Yin).

Earth is represented by Indian Summer, when we have hot days and cool nights. Our gardens are ready to harvest. There is abundance dancing around us; all we need to do is receive.

I am taking a 12-month class with Robert Peng called "The Way of Virtue". Over 100 students diligently meet every Sunday online to activate acupuncture points, detox organ systems, and nourish each organ's Qi. Using breath and chanting, we open the energy flow in the 12 major organ meridians to increase physical health, emotional balance, and spiritual alignment.

The last four weeks have been focused on the Earth element, specifically the Stomach and Spleen meridians. I have come to understand that many of my physical and emotional complaints are related to imbalances in these meridians.

I share in case these symptoms resonate with you.

Emotional aspects of Earth

When Earth is constricted, it is difficult to digest what is happening in life. There is a ruminating mind, trying to make sense of the world, worrying about what could be. There is a tendency to give yourself away, taking care of others to your own detriment. When the Earth is out of balance, a person feels unsupported and has difficulty in being able to receive.

When Earth is healthy, there is a feeling of abundance: an awareness that you already have access to anything you could possibly need. With a quiet and clear mind, you are able to prioritize and receive.

  • Eating French fries? Your body can absorb the nutrients you need from those fries.

  • Lonely? You are able to receive deep fulfilling love from the relationships you already have.

  • Financially strapped? You have the clarity to prioritize and find that you have enough financial means for anything that you need.

A stable and supportive Earth reminds that you are abundant, right here in this now moment.

Gut Health and the Nervous System

Gut Health and the Nervous System

Many of you know that I've been focused on my gut health for years.

Gluten free, Dairy free, sometimes meat, oil, grain, alcohol, and sugar free.

I've aimed to heal my gut by:

  • eliminating consumption of certain foods

  • receiving physical and energetic bodywork

  • detoxing

  • improving dental health

  • using supplements and probiotics

  • healing from infections

Along the way, I learned a tremendous amount about what works and doesn't work for me, and how my experience of digestion has changed overtime.

What's the magic solution?  What foods do we need to cut out to return to a state of gut health?

I've come to realize that it's not about the food!

Constipation Remedies

When a handful of clients experience the same discomfort, it’s time to write an article about it!

Recently, both youth and adults have shared that they suffer from constipation. The common remedies, such as eating more fiber, taking magnesium, drinking prune juice, using laxatives, and changing their diets have not helped, leaving these clients frustrated and desperate.

It’s not a topic that people talk about in polite company, yet the health of the large intestine is of significant importance to discuss.

Miracle Healings with Robert Peng’s Techniques

Since returning from Robert Peng's workshop, many of you have asked about the new healing techniques in my repertoire.  The forms and underlying intentions are simple, powerful, and effective.

Robert's work is not heady; we don't have to name the ailment or its cause to impart improvement.  We simply remove non-organic Qi (that which doesn't resonate with the person) and reorganize the organic Qi.  We use Light to restore a state of wholeness and health.

I've been integrating these techniques into sessions, and the results are impressive.  Consider for yourself:

Vibrational Healing: Roles of Practitioner and Client

I have often wondered how energy healing works.

Why does each person have a different experience and result?  What is the role of the practitioner?  What is the role of the client?

I grapple with these ideas and continue to learn from every source I encounter.

Recently, I started following Christina Lopes, a YouTube presence focusing on spirituality.  https://christina-lopes.com/  She shares videos about the spiritual world, chakras, divine guides, healing, and more.  You might enjoy checking out her work.

I discovered her Light Worker Activations.  These are recorded Live on Zoom with thousands of participants, and are available for replay on YouTube.

Christina's activations blew me away!  She uses techniques to welcome powerful light into our cellular networks, leading to an increased frequency and level of health.  I've never felt so high-vibe before.  At the end of the sessions, my entire body buzzes and I feel fully alive.
