Announcing: Certification with the National Qigong Association!

I am proud to join the ranks of nationally certified Qigong practitioners and teachers!

During the week of Thanksgiving, I received much anticipated news from the National Qigong Association. (www.NQA.org)

...drumroll please

My two certification applications were approved!

I am one of 20 people nationwide to be officially certified as both a Qigong Clinical Practitioner and a Level III Qigong Instructor.

To become certified by the National Qigong Association, you must have at least:

• 500 hours of in-person Qigong training;  I have had the honor of receiving nearly 700 hours of training since 2017.

• 2 years experience working in a clinical environment using Qigong; Live Your Light has been open since 2019 in Lafayette! 

• 100 hours of completed clinical Qigong treatments; I have completed over 5350 hours of client treatments!

• 6 years of personal Qigong practice

• 5 years of experience teaching Qigong: I’ve taught over 838 hours of classes in Meditations and Qigong Movement forms.

• Current CPR certification

• Liability insurance

• 3 letters of recommendation

Just looking at these statistics makes my head spin…this is a clear representation of what I’ve been doing with my time during the last decade!

What does this mean? 

This certification is a professional endorsement from the National Qigong Association that I am qualified to practice and teach Qigong.

I can progress to the top level of Senior Instructor and Senior Practitioner after completing 10 years of clinical work and 1000 hours of in-person training.  Let's see where this leads!
