A Lightworker receives her Wings

I had hoped to write about another miracle healing.

But each human body is unique.  Our Spiritual paths are nuanced. We can’t always control the outcome.

It feels important to share this story, in honor of a beautiful soul and her journey.

It is with great sadness that I share the untimely passing of Cathy Heskin. She took her last breath on May 10, 2025, just two weeks before her 56th birthday.

Cathy was a trained nurse, brilliant energy healer, involved member of the Una Vida community, and a deeply compassionate woman. She was gifted at making other people feel special: seen, heard, and understood. She was bubbly, uninhibited, and always ready for a new adventure.

In October, Cathy was bitten by a tick. In January she was diagnosed with Lyme disease.  By February, doctors identified fast-moving breast cancer. In March, the cancer had spread to her liver and lungs.

Why was this illness moving so fast?  Were the Lyme and cancers connected, or was it coincidence that they occurred at the same time?

Every time Cathy came to class, she had a new diagnosis. The doctors ran extensive tests, and she experienced big reactions to the MRI dyes and other procedures. By the time doctors recommended chemotherapy in April, her body was already too weak to handle the approach. She had lost so much weight that she was skin and bones. The speed of her decline was startling.

Since she was too weak for standard medical treatment, Cathy turned to alternative therapies. She reached out to her extensive network of energy healers, looking for advice.  Her goal was to nourish her body, detox her organs, and alter her internal environment to be a poor host for the cancer. I loved her open-minded enthusiasm for all things healing.

She incorporated:

  • Chinese herbs

  • Lymphatic massage

  • Removal of amalgam dental fillings

  • Binders to pull heavy metals out of the body

  • Daily coffee enemas

  • Hydrogenated and alkaline water from a white gas machine to shift the ph in her body to a state that would not feed cancer

  • A plant medicine from Europe, said to fight cancer

  • Drinking vitamin-rich juices and supplements

  • Resonant frequency therapy

  • Tuning fork therapy for breaking up the tumors

  • So much more that I didn't know about!

The therapies were reducing symptoms and pain, and the scans revealed that the breast tumors were shrinking.  However, her overall health was not stabilizing.

In mid-April, just 3 weeks before she passed, Cathy reached out to me for healing support. Considering the many modalities she was working with, I didn’t want to overwhelm her system. We agreed upon a slow and gentle approach with less frequent sessions, so she could process in between. I worked with her twice, 10 days apart, using Qigong and Core Synchronism.

Cathy came in looking emaciated. Her tongue was dry and bright white. She was in pain, depressed, and feeling awful. She had not been able to take a deep breath for weeks, and prioritized lung support for this session. I could see her health teetering; we might have a chance to turn this around, but it wasn’t clear which way things would go.

In the first session, we used Qigong to remove vibrations that were affecting her.

  • All of her 7 chakras and 8 extraordinary meridians wanted support.  Her energy body was closed down.

  • Her Wood element had stopped functioning in the balance 6 months before. She recalled that the tick bite had occurred in that time frame. A wood imbalance is related to liver health and feeling stuck. It is possible that the tick bite affected her sense of personal power.

  • She had foreign energy (vibrations that didn’t belong) in her body for 3.25 months. She said that timing aligned with the Lyme and breast cancer diagnoses. The shock of the diagnoses had made her energy small and vulnerable, making space for other vibrations to take over.

  • We cleared vibrations of trauma from decades earlier.

  • Her Spirit was 20% present in her body; she was mostly disassociated due to the physical and emotional discomfort. We helped her Spirit to fully embody. When your Spirit is present, you can process what needs to be released.

  • We sent refreshed Qi into her Liver, Lungs, and Gut, all of which had been bothering her. We raised the frequency of these organs to be in a vibration of health.

When she got off the table, Cathy felt at peace. She was taking deep breaths for the first time in weeks. She was feeling positive and without pain. The shift was significant, and we had hope that she could maintain this state.

I saw Cathy again 10 days later, supporting her through Qigong and Core Synchronism.

  • She had returned to a feeling of depression. She was impatient for her health to turn the corner. Her blood pressure was spiking.

  • Cathy's chakras and meridians were all struggling again. What had shut down her energy-body so quickly?

  • There was new foreign energy from mid-week.

  • Her Spirit was only 30% in her body; again disassociated.

  • We used Core Synchronism to gently support her physical body. The flow of her cerebral spinal fluid was not aligned with the left side of her body, her frontal lobe, and brain floor. She had a lot of inflammation in the spine, kidneys, and liver.  We did a nervous system reset.

Again, when she got off the table, she was more positive, smiling, and feeling at peace.

Neither of us could know that it would be the last time we saw each other. As she left, Cathy reminded me that “Even healers are not exempt”.  All humans are mortal.

One week later, she had been admitted into the hospital. Her health continued to decline rapidly. Cathy departed this life on May 10, surrounded by family and friends.

I regret not being able to do more for her.  Hopefully the sessions brought her some peace.

I'm left with so many questions.  It's human nature to ask Why.

Why did it have to be Cathy?

Why did her illness progress so quickly?

What could we have done to change her odds?

Was her untimely passing the destiny of her Spirit?

What can we learn from her illness?

I was honored to attend Cathy’s remembrance last week. It was a powerful gathering of exceptional healers and friends. The stories shared about Cathy were heartwarming, funny, and tear-jerking.

We all agreed that Cathy received her angel wings on May 10. She left us on this Earth plane to do more important work on the Spiritual plane. We grieve the physical loss of this beautiful woman, while watching in a state of awe as she transitions to her Spiritual life.

Cathy is now living IN the Light.  She IS the Light.

Rest in Peace, beautiful Cathy.  We miss you.
